First, a point about my "easy to assemble" rating: my sweet son put it together for me with his electric screwdriver. I couldn't have done it myself with a manual screwdriver because there are so many screws, a couple in hard-to-reach places. But for him, it was a snap. It took him about an hour and a half, from start to finish. The directions are clear and easy to follow, and all the screws and components were there. He used one of my dishes to hold all the screws, and I lent an extra pair of hands to hold the sides and middle boards in place while he installed the screws. So I helped!The assembled desk is attractive and looks more expensive than it was. I got it to hold my laptop and all the associated stuff you get a desk for, and it all has a place and it all fits. I don't use it for files, and I'm not sure that would be a good use for this piece of furniture. More on that in a bit. The drawers are a nice touch, since my old desk didn't have any (don't ask how I managed with a desk with no drawers! It was a mess!) The backs and sides of the drawers are made of some type of stiff, fabric covered material, which helps to make the desk a little less heavy. They're sturdy enough to hold my plastic desk containers of pens and cough drops and all that, and they slide easily and smoothly. The description for this product calls it a filing cabinet, and I'm not sure how that would work because I have a separate file box, but with the fabric sides and back I don't know if the sides would hold up to the weight of a bunch of files. If you're needing a filing cabinet, this may not actually be what you need.The wheels work very well, and the desk slides easily on the plastic mat I have it sitting on. The finish on the "brown" desk, which is what I got, is darker than the picture, and much prettier. It may look closer to the actual color on your monitor. It looks like a medium red oak.I'm glad I bought it, and I would buy it again knowing what I know about it, if I needed a desk, and had someone to put it together for me.I'd like to add a note about all the complaints about how cheap this desk is. If you're looking for a solid wood, $500 or $800 desk, or a sturdy filing cabinet, this is not the product you want, and the price alone should tell you that. This desk will hold my laptop, my printer if I wanted to put it on it, a lamp, printer paper, ledger, clipboard, CD player and headphones, plastic containers of pens and paper clips and all the assorted stuff you use a desk for. It works extremely well for what it is. And it's attractive.Don't buy something that's not what you need or want just because you think you're getting a "bargain"price because the seller doesn't realize how much more he could sell his product for, and then downgrade or write a critical review when the article turns out to be exactly what the seller described, and not the "steal" you thought you were going to get. The seller wrote a very honest description of this desk. Other reviewers have given accurate descriptions of it. It's exactly how it's advertised.What I do not like is that the drawers are not any type of wood, they are fabric with a thin more firm piece of cardboard to make the bottom. What is even worse is the fronts for the drawers appears to be just cardboar like the bottoms for the drawers. When you put the drawer handles on the screws will go through the holes. I had to improvise with using a washer so they would not pull through the drawer front. Even though the price was not expensive I would have expected a little better quality and not having to improvise so the handles would stay on. When using the drawers you can see how flimsy they are and the big bottom drawer did not fit, moved it to the other side to be able to use.My son needed another space to do work in school and to store items and this was perfect. He put it together quickly and it rolls to any location he needs it to go.It would have been nice if the drawers were not made of cloth. It probably won't see hard use.Great product my grand son loved it...The drawers are fabric and flimsy. The only reason we kept it is because it was easier than tearing it apart and boxing it back up. It is poorly built and constructed. Materials are super cheap.I received this with no installation instructions or guides at all. While it shouldn't be extremely difficult to put together, having no instructions makes it difficult to know if I received all of the parts and pieces before I get started.
